This unit covered materials such as course books, authentic materials and creative materials. The following ideas about books were presented: don't use the book for the whole lesson plan; look at the time related to activities have a well balanced lesson plan; gear the lesson towards the interests of the students and the class will be highly motivated to participate in activities; and take time for tasks. Options for course books: omit the activities that don't support your lesson plan; replace materials; supplement book with own materials and adapt. In summary this was a very interesting unit that I will use.
