This unit gave me a better understanding of the core roles of a teacher within the realm of the classroom. While I had prior knowledge that a teacher must be equal parts manager and tutor while teaching it did not occur to me that I would sometimes find myself playing the role of participant in my own class activities. This was a new experience for me, as I had never considered that possibility. Additionally, I would have never considered until reading this unit, that I could be looked upon as pinnacle of an English speaker. Needless to say this unit was eye opening in regard to my classroom roles.
