I have learnt and from doing so realised how my teachers in primary school affected the dynamics of the class room just by moving people ( mainly me) around the room to find a balence, I also remember that the prospect of group tables was used to get the less behaved students to behave as a collective goal using peer pressure to reinforce good behaviour. However that was never achieved and it was a common setting for student in my classes to be paired in rows, they could help each other and moving into groups for activites was very simple.
I also remember how some teacher built report either through lollies which I don't think will be a good idea in most situations, untimely it was respect from a teacher that got me to listen and actually pay attention.
