This was an example given of 2 lessons. One seemed to be more effective than the other in eliciting student participation. It was clear from the game in the first lesson that instructions and clear examples need to be given to elicit participation from the students. In the second video during the last activity the teacher gave instructions, then gave several examples so that the students were able to participate in the activity with minimal direction from the teacher.
