This last unit covers how to teach reluctant students, large classes, and existing groups. Essentially, how do we troubleshoot when our classes are very diverse. It is important for the teacher to establish rapport with the students. As such, ice breakers are a good way for the students and teachers to get to know each other. In large classes, teachers are better off grouping students instead of trying to talk to students individually. I think reluctant students are reluctant for a reason--many of which are out of the teacher's control. But the teacher does have the responsibility to try his/her best to encourage the students to participate.
