I felt that a great deal of the ESA discussion was extremely helpful for my preparation to teach young students. The Straight Arrow method seems to be the most useful for the age of students that I will be working with. The Boomerang and Patchwork methods could also come in handy but may get too complicated. I was happy that the unit quickly skimmed over the pedagogical Methods at the beginning; I was afraid that we might get bogged down in those. The in-depth it exploration of elicitation was also extremely helpful as well as the different segments of the ESA method. I was extremely grateful to see and read through all of the different examples that were given as they gave me a great deal of ideas to build lesson plans around.
