This section prompted me to muse about how I might function as a disciplinarian in a classroom. I know that different cultures have different ideas of the role of the teacher and how it relates to discipline and I would like to more deeply research what the students expect, what the school (and other teachers) would expect, and if I want to fall into expectations or pick and choose what feels right for me and the kind of classroom I want to lead.
