This time’s unit is about course books and materials. To begin, we can say that there many types of materials that can be brought in a classroom. We can bring white board, dictionaries, course books, and teacher’s book and so on.
There are two types of materials number one is authentic materials and these can be anything that a native speaker can read or hear. For example newspaper, songs magazines, poems menus and so on. Number two is creative materials and they can be such as flashcard, crosswords word search, pictures, games. And role-play cards.
The recourse of books. There are three-book series: number one is students ‘book, number two is work book, and number three is teacher’s book. The all have all have pluses and minuses.
The approaches to course book use should be; omit, replace, supplement and adapt.
