This unit presents the qualities of a good teacher, as well as the different roles that a good teacher typically takes on during different classroom sessions. This unit also presents the qualities of a good learner, while reminding us that there are various contextual factors that can affect how we define a good learner. The Common European Framework's six levels of proficiency were new to me, as I had never encountered this particular scale before. I appreciate that the list of possible motivations is presented in the beginning of the course, as I believe it is helpful to consider at the beginning of an English course in order to make students think about why the class is important to their own life. I have used this method in the past.
