When teaching beginners, it is important to give clear and simple instructions, ask lots of questions, and encourage students to speak English in class as much as possible. Some of the activities used when teaching individual students are short stories, newspapers, quizzes, and music. When teaching children, it is important to always use English as the language of instruction. If native language of the students is used, it could give a wrong idea to the students by making them think they will eventually hear the teacher talk in their native language if they wait long enough.
