Unit two for me was a refresher on English grammar, it reminded me that every part of a sentence or clause is defined and has rules for use. It also reminded me of all the exceptions of these rules that I know through habit but couldn't describe in a methodical manner. Both of these reminders will be helpful as the students I'll work with won't know the rules instinctively as I do, I'll need a clearer way to explain why a sentence is put together the way it is. After completing this unit I intend to look closely at everything I read and write so I can define the basic building blocks of an English sentence.
