This unit was helpful in offering guidance and instruction for coming up with lessons centered on speaking and writing. Reading the material reminded me of the things I struggled with while learning a foreign language (i.e. hesitancy in speaking due to fear of making a mistake), and I appreciated the tips on creating an inviting, comfortable learning environment for students. I think it will be important for me to gauge when to correct students and to make sure I do it in a way that is constructive and not discouraging.
