There are different aspects in the English Language which could be considered as hard to be internalized or better expressed learnt by students. However when talking about Phrasal Verbs - Modals and Passive voice, it is important to be sure of what we are saying to our students from the very beginning to the end of our lessons. First of all, having into consideration that English is considered to be the language with so many prepositions we can just start from the very basics such as teaching the use of in, on and at in order to understand their use and decide to take a look a profound look into how verbs are categorized so perhaps it may all become easier for our students to get a better picture of Separable, Inseparable and Three-word phrasal verbs. Secondly and concerning to Modal Verbs, it is important to let our students know that the very first rule is to makke sure that we are using basic form verbs after any of them, eg. Can plus basic verb form. Anyway, the best way to learn them is not by explaining each of them but by involving our students in different contexts in which they must use the most appropiate mode of the verbs... At the end, it is all about the mode or way we want to express our selves. Last but not least, passive voice, which is frequently used but neither commomly applied nor understood, should be internalized according to its use and not in accordance to the grammar rules.
