The art of teaching receptive skills is about actually listening and reading for the meaning itself. As mentioned on this text the receptive skills being listening and reading are fairly distributed around the reason for doing both. The reason for students to find the interest on reading and listening in our classroom is each for the purpose of learning the english language, behind this there is another specific reason which covers their motif. When we listen there is the category of instructions reading for detailed reading, scanning, skimming, prediction and deduction. I learned that the importance to avoid problems to pre-teach vocabulary/grammar during the Study Phase. I learned also to Demonstrate, Elicit correct answer, monitor feedback and Correct per each beginning of Activate Phase.
