The conditional tense used to give me fits when I tried to learn it in french and it's just as difficult in English. This unit did what this course always does with tenses: it broke the conditional tense down into manageable pieces that make a complex issue less of a mystery. Reported speech was also covered in detail and with a similar friendliness to the reader. Indeed, reported speech seems like a form that lends itself easily to communicative activities. I few sample lessons or activities would have been nice.
