This unit further delved into the topic of course books and materials that can help students in the study and activate portions of the lessons. The unit compared the benefits and limitations of prepared vs authentic materials, as well as outlined the advantages and disadvantages of course books and how to choose the rights ones.
I was surprised that the majority of the unit was spent on many examples of materials that can be used in the classroom. Though I am sure these materials are applicable in a class, I wonder whether it is useful for them to take up space in the teaching unit - I would assume most people taking the course already know what a crossword looks like, for example. In the future, organizing such materials in a separate appendix or reference section may be more logical.
