When facing first lesson we should try to use activities such as: find out more about students, find about their inspiration and needs in English that can help us with further lesson, find out their language level and establish rapport between us and the students or the new group.
Good warmer games include: pictionary , tongue twisters, hangman, memory games.
When teaching students of a different level, need to make sure to use different materials suitable for all of language level in the group. Pairing strong students with weaker ones as well as make sure to use same material in different tasks.
In large classes, helps using worksheets, pair work, appointing group leaders, making sure we are clear,
make classes dynamic and repeating.
When encountering students unwilling to participate in the class, we can use ideas that will help us , such as controlled practice, pair work, role play or tape recorder.
