Ok, this unit on Theories, methods and techiniques has been completely new material for me. I have never study about this before. The history of theories as explained in the video was most useful. I also had the book of Jeremy Harmer bought many years ago, but I did not know he is the creator of the most modern teaching technique ESA. When I studies English at school, it was before he created this method, so I learned in the classical method. I never knew why my reading and writing skills were good but my speaking ability was not good. Now I understand it is because of the method of study I used. I taught lessons to private students in one on one, but it seems my lessons were concentrated on the study phase and the other phases did not occur to me. I feel I am already a better teacher just by studying this course.
