In this unit I have learned how to format a typical ESA lesson, as well as why it is important to do so. A well-structured lesson plan allows for a teacher to prepare for teaching a specific language point. It will give them the structure necessary to carry out their lesson in an orderly manner, but it will also be flexible enough to where they can adjust it for the students' needs as necessary. Finally, lesson plans should be interconnected with and build on top of one another- they should all lead to some larger goal that the teacher has for the students (and themselves!).
