In this unit I learned numerous ways to teach ESL and a variety of theories as to how students best learn and understand new languages. Specifically, I learned about the Engage - Study - Activate model, and how this can be molded to a specific class or changed into the Patchwork or Boomerang model. I also learned when to correct and give feedback, and when to encourage students and let mistakes go.
