While this unit was brief, it was definitely informative. I did not know what receptive skills were prior to this lesson. I particularly liked the discussion of the difference between reading and listening and how listening can sometimes be more difficult when learning English as students do not have the time to break down what they are hearing like they would be able to when they read information. Knowing the factors that affect student's ability to listen and read will become handy when teaching a class.
