This unit was very long and very thorough on all types of teaching English situations. I have taught one on one and young audults, the other teaching situations are very new to me. I was surprised to see how many type of beginners are out there. I honestly find teaching English to beginners whose alphabet is not in Roman letters most challenging. My academic background is in business and finance, so I find teaching Business English most appealing. I never thought of using needs analysis before my one on one, individual teaching classes as most students I had thought that I as a teacher I should know best what they need. However I think it is a better approach by using a needs analysis when starting teaching one on one. Overall I think I learned a lot from this course.
