This unit introduced me to pronunciation and phonology in much more detail than I knew previously. Stress, rhythm and intonation come naturally when speaking in the native language, it doesn't require any thought when trying to get your message across. I find it very interesting to break out the different words we stress when indicating certain context about a sentence. I can't really this in other languages, so I imagine it's incredibly hard for English learners to perfect even as an advanced student. While I do believe pronunciation can be taught to a degree, it feels as though it is something that will come over time as students continue to practice and surround them selves with English speakers. As a native speaker, I think this is a great asset for us to have.
