This unit gives a quick overview of the parts of speech as defined by this TEFL course. The following eight parts of speech are covered; nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, and prepositions/conjunctions. The unit also touches on some of the challenges that a teacher may face when teaching English to non native speakers. The "exceptions" to the rule are abundant in the English language and may pose more challenging to teach because they do not follow the regular formula.
