This unit on productive skills, writing and speaking made me realized that I never taught a writing center class. I only gave homework to my students and I thought that that should be enough. I am certain that from now on I will use speech bubbles for dialog and rectangular boxes for my students to fill in. I will also think about class to create a need and a desire for my students before I would start going on a study phase with my students. I also think the use of pictures from magazines to have the write stories of what might have happened before and after the story in the picture chosen is an excellent way for my students to develop creative writing skills. Overall an excellent unit, with a lot of new material for me.
