In this unit, I learned about the different parts of speech. I learned about pronouns, nouns, prepositions, conjunctions, adjectives, adverbs, superlatives, comparatives, transitive and intransitive verbs. Each part of speech as a role in a sentence. For example, nouns are person, place, things, and ideas. Adjectives and adverbs describe nouns,pronouns and/or verbs and how each react to certain things. Adverbs end usually with '-ly.' Comparatives you the '-er' ending at the end of the word to show the comparison of two things. Superlatives us the '-est' ending at the end of the word to show relationship to a group of things. These are just a few of the things we covered in this unit. You must understand each part of speech in order to understand the English language.
