The unit began by introducing various teaching methods, followed by a focus on the Engage-Study-Activate method, as the approach that best balanced the strengths and advantages of the previously listed systems. The unit covered in detail the various activities and tasks that can be used during the different stages of the ESA approach and wrapped up with guidelines on the appropriate time and methods of correcting students within the ESA framework.
One of the most interesting learnings of this unit was that teaching does not simply involve transmitting information from teacher to student, but doing so in a way that ensures that students are receptive, understanding, comfortable and active throughout the learning process.
