This Unit is about theories, methods and techniques that are used by the teacher during the lesson. The most common theories are grammar-translation; audio-lingualism; presentation, practice and production; task-based learning; communicative language teaching; community language learning; the silent way; suggestopaedia; the lexical approach. The most effective method of learning English is called "Engage, Study and Activate". "Engage" phase means to warm up the class. "Study" means to learn some new material. "Activate" means to practice the above mentioned material.
