This unit covered the particularities and strategies of teaching special language groups, with a focus on beginners, young children and those learning business English. It is interesting that even at the beginner level there are numerous sub-categories varying from absolute and 'false' beginners to youth and adults and even those not familiar with the Roman alphabet.
Each group of students requires not only different topics and skills that are relevant for them to learn, but also come with different priorities and teaching challenges. For example keeping students engaged and attentive may be one of the biggest challenges of teaching very young students, while building confidence and balance learning with work may be a primary challenge to those teaching business English.
