Through this lesson I have realized the numerous roles that a teacher can potentially play in a class. These roles are fluid, and a teacher will have to perform multiple or even all of them in one class setting. I personally think that being able to organize a class, especially one where the students cannot understand what the teacher is saying part of the time, is crucial, and forms the backbone on which the rest of the teacher's instruction rests on. Alongside this, effective monitoring is key, as a teacher must be able to recognize the most pressing language issues that each student runs into. Good organization lets a teacher have time to check their students progress during class, which gives the teacher insight as how to organize the course from that point on. It is a circular effect, in essence.
