This unit provides an overview of teachers and learners. It describes what makes a good teacher and what makes good learners.
I was very encouraged by this unit. I have already had some teaching experience in a semi-academic setting and I can see how these points relate to my experience. I see that as a teacher, my methods could have been enhanced by performing more of the teacher roles than I did. The students probably would have benefited more if I had given them more class interaction to learn from one another. I can also see why some of my students responded to positively to my teaching while others struggled more. Having the knowledge of these roles will certainly help me in my future teaching efforts.
