This unit overviews the concept of evaluating students and the different types of testing done in school. I learned about how each testing differs from one another and how each are useful in specific areas. For example, placements tests allow teachers to place students into classes that match their language ability. Progress tests are used periodically to oversee what material the students remember, and what they might have forgotten. Being someone who has gone through these kinds of tests myself, it was useful to read about different testing and evaluation methods.
