Pronunciation was probably one of the hardest skills I taught in my previous class. Based on my experience, it really took a lot of my time and effort to teach this area since I myself had also some confusions on this. But this unit has taught me a lot about pronunciation. The articulation and its manner were explored in more detail which refreshed my knowledge and understanding on teaching speaking. I have enjoyed the intonation and stress lesson which reviewed me deeply on how to teach these areas to my futures students. The lesson also provided some possible teaching techniques for pronunciation, stress and intonation. It focused mainly on how to help teachers and students be more aware of these, as part of teaching and learning English as a second language. After the lesson, I realized that as an ESL teacher, I must truly understand these topic so that I will be able to identify and cater some pronunciation, intonation and stress problems of my students along the way. In this way, I will be able to effectively meet my learners' needs in terms of these areas.
