This unit briefly covered the different teaching methodologies and explained in depth the most effective teaching method used by new TEFL teachers: ESA. I have some knowledge of lesson planning and a student-centered classroom, but I was surprised by the detailed planning that went into the Engage, Study, and Activate method. I found the Patchwork sequence especially eye-opening since I didn't realize how it shaped my learning process in school, and how my personal experiences are now allowing me to transition into the role of a TEFL teacher.
