This unit was a bit difficult to me. I've learned many new concepts Especially, learning phonemic symbols is like learning a brand new language. I didn't realized the fall and rise intonation elicits a response. I was always thought it was the opposite. In terms of stress, I learned that most stress for two syllable nouns and adjectives is one the first syllable and for tow syllable verbs it's on the second. I discovered ante-penultimate means third from the end. Most of the material learn came from understanding the phonemic symbols and articulation. I learned that voiced consonants has to include vibrations from your vocal chords compared to unvoice where there is not vocal chord vibration. Furthermore, I learned about different manners of articulation. This includes plosive sounds which is sounds where the air is completely blocked before being released.
