Ok, very interesting lesson. I never thought of listening and reading as beeing grouped together as in receptive skills, but it is true. I have found that I have developed my receptive skills over the years more than my productive skills. I have taught reading skills in my practice with my students without a proper engagement. I always used authentic texts because I thought that may benefit them more because it exposed them to language not created for learning. However, now I realize that using authentic language with the students that are not so advance may not have been appropriate.
The corresponding video lesson is very short for this unit, but it does cover the main points of the lesson. I am very interested to study about the productive skills next.
