This unit emphasizes that there are 7 future tenses in comparison to the past and present tenses. It elaborates on each tenses' form and usage i.e. the sentence structure for future simple is 'I will + verb' and it can be used when referencing future facts, promises, predictions, assumptions, spontaneous decisions and threats. It is important to pay attention to the verbs being used as it will help verify whether it is simple, continuous, perfect, perfect continuous, 'going-to' future, present simple or present continuous. The unit also details the typical errors that students may present with due to the confusion of tenses. It also has suggestions on the types of activities that can be used to easily teach each tense i.e. fortune telling, songs, writing future diary entries and role-play.
