This unit provides examples of how to manage a classroom such as seating arrangements, teacher talk time, student talk time, grouping of students into pairs, groups or whole class, use of body language and also building rapport in order to attain positive and effective learning. It discusses the pros and cons of each aspect as well as the positive opportunities that it creates for the students' learning experiences. It highlights the importance of teacher talk time and student talk time, particularly on how often to provide input so that the students will also have an equal amount of time to demonstrate their English skills.
