This study unit was based on course books and materials. Materials used can have a huge impact on the language activation of students. The more motivated students are with the materials used, in other words if they are fully engaged they will tend to show increased usage of the English language. Books and materials need to be worked through thoroughly to analyse the appropriateness of the materials and their fit with the capability of the students which in turn would ensure and instill an attitude of learning among students.
