Unit 11 was about teaching receptive skills and how they are important for English learners. There were different skills that went along with the two main skills, which were reading and listening. A couple of examples are predictive skills and deduction from context. The unit had information regarding what types of texts are acceptable for reading in class. There was also an example lesson at the end of the unit that gave a more detailed view of what should be in a class about receptive skills.
