This unit shows the difficulties of learning the English language. The essence of timing that is incorporated in the language provokes the learner to think about which came first and as well, the ongoing action. While using the types of past tenses in writing, I never thought about the reasons for using the tense. The usages are clearly outlined throughout the unit. This helps me re-think about my grammar usage. I think it will be important to learn these tenses step-by-step and master them through application and construction of different sentences. It will also be helpful to act out what happened in the past to further master the past tense and all its types.
