This unit has provided me with more technical definitions of both the teachers' and the learners'priorities and motivations. I have been able to reflect on the kind of teacher I currently am and wish to be. At the moment my role is somewhere between being an assessor, organizer, prompter and a model. I have learnt that young learners are divided into three categories depending on their age. Hence, from a very young learner up to 8, to pre-buerty ones up to 12 years old and finally the post puberty students whom I have always found to be the most demanding ones. I have learnt that vocabulary is the main difference between an intermediate and an upper interemediate level and that a greater accuracy is reached at the advanced one. I have also found out what drives learners to take up studying a foreign language and from a personal experience can tell that the most important reasons are work/studies and travelling.
