The unit covered the characteristics of teaching beginners, individual students, children, and business people. The methods outlined for teaching beginners seems appropriate and useful. For example, it requires more skilled techniques and self-reflection of the teacher because the psychological component. Nonetheless, if done appropriately, I believe it will be the most rewarding. Teaching individual students allows the teacher to play more of the prompter role than the controller. One of the advantages of teaching individuals students is the possibility of building a better rapport with the student. The techniques used for children are similar to those reviewed in previous units. Last but not least, the importance of a needs analysis for business people is well-outlined throughout the unit.
