This unit provided me with some useful tips as to what to look at when selecting or analysing course books. It also helped me understand the difference between authentic materials and created materials as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each of the different types of materials. I learnt that there are advantages and disadvantages to each type of material and that a good teacher would use a combination of both types.
