There is no doubt that studying this unit has been the biggest contribution to my teaching skills so far, due to the fact that the ideas given throughout the test enabled me compare the ideas proposed with my brackround knowledge; understand the importance of nonverbal factor; and finally notice that personal aims are also and important aspect when planning a lesson. In relation to my background knowledge, I realized I was taught to always work in rigid lesson plan in which one was supposed to include as much detailed information as possible;however, I discovered that being able to adapt lessons to the necessities that emerge in the moment is also part of being a good teacher. When it comes to nonverbals, I notice planning is not always about writing the steps of lesson; unexpectedly, being working on other elements such as classroom arrangement and materials are elements that ease learning in students and make us more effective teachers. Finally, studying this unit helped me understanding that despite it is always important to bear in mind what we expect from students, it is also valuable having a clear vision of what our personal aims are, and then what we expect from ourselves.
