This unit explains how to plan a lesson. It underlines the importance of planning a lesson but also the importance of not taking this plan as the only way to conduct the lesson. Besides that fact that there is not only one way to plan a lesson, a teacher also needs to know how to be flexible and sometimes follow the flow. An exercise could sometimes take longer than expected or not go as expected. It is good to have a back up exercise if needed. A lesson plan is not only good to help the teacher conduct the lesson but also to keep track of what a class has done and covered, and they can also be used in different occasions. This unit also gave a concrete example of a written lesson plan and examples exercises which could be used for a lesson about the present perfect and one on possibilities using may/might.
