This unit included both authentic and created resources in order to teach English. It also discussed the advantages and disadvantages involved with authentic materials including textbooks. The unit also talked about what aspects to look for when choosing a potential textbook if need be. While this unit provided a good basis for books and materials, I believe that this aspect of teaching English is something learned simply by trial and error of utilizing materials and discovering what does and doesn't work.
