This unit was very helpful because I learned about the characteristics of being a good teacher, as well as the different roles that every teacher must play when teaching. It is was useful because as a teacher, I will have to know how to behave in different situations, in order to keep ALL the students motivated.
Another thing I learned, is about the differences when teaching young and adults. If the teacher is aware of what motivates each of these groups, and the different ways of how to keep their will to learn and improve their English skills, he or she will do a better job.
Being aware of the components of the language levels, will help both teachers and learners, to know what are their weaknesses and what are the issues they have to work on; for example, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, speaking fluency, etc.
