An ability to manage ones class is crucial. Dealing with students when there is no proper class management can really make your lessons a mess. It is imperative for learners to feel at home with the class. It is also most important to know the learners who have come to learn, their motivation to learn at all. I find the various means to manage a class quite intriguing. Use of eye contact, gestures, voice, team work sound like it. Using whichever means appropriate or a good combination of them is certainly a must. Pick that student out after class who is most troubling to chat is a good go. I am wondering what to do with such a student who will not even allow to go on with all of his or her trouble and noise makings.
