This is a very technical lessons targeting the correct managmenet of rather big classes in particular. for instance it deals with both classroom and group management within the class. I am personally used to dealing with individual students and sometimes smaller groups but have never cosnidered the importance of proper seating before. In particular I find individual desks to be the best alternative beacuse it instill the sense of order and discipline but each student is left to his own devices. when it comes to organizing the class and engaging the students I think it is the best alternative as the horseshoe arrangement tends to look rther too informal and the row one too rigid.
I have appreciated the comments made on giving instructions by calling out the student's name at the end rather than at the beginning which is what i mostly tend to do. As for the eye contact i think that the most important thing is to keep it especially whn students are being examined and feel compelled to intrpret their teacher's eye movement to get an idea of how successful or not they might be.
